Post 4 - Midpoint Reflection

Midpoint Reflection

The primary mission of Block Institute is to assist in improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families; I think if my organization didn’t exist there might no one assist improving the quality of individuals, disabilities life and might no one train them for many different jobs. It is very similar to what I expected before I started. I thought about organize files, tag, and pack files for ship out and a separate office on a separate computer. I have learned new skills from this internship that can be used to apply for another job such as I have learned how to communicate with people in a right way, Manage things about Medicaid, checking Medicaid for consumers, put pictures into applications as well as putting information from old forms to new ones. The environment in my Internship is pretty similar to my school environment. I usually speak English at all the time to communicate because no one speak my language in there and I think it has improved my English skills.  My relationship with my mentor and co-workers is pretty well. We all behave friendly, neighborly. We do have respect for each other. My internship also has taught me how to behave well and communicate with professional, individuals with developmental disabilities. Internship has effected on my daily life & school work because we don’t really get enough classes to finish our assignments rather finishing them at school I do at home. In the next five weeks left, I am hoping willing to improve my schedule, time management.

lot of work I do at my Internship
