New Vocabulary (SAT Words)


1.   Word: Deride        ہنسی اڑانا
Definition: to make jokes that show you think someone or something is silly or useless
Sentence: you shouldn’t deride people even if they are silly


2.   Word: Hapless       اشوب
Definition: Unlucky
Sentence: My hapless cricket team lost game just as last 4 games

3.   Word: Boon           بون
Definition: A gift or the thing that is helpful
Sentence: The rain has been a boon for poor farmer to give their crops some water

4.   Word: Cupidity      پتہ نہیں
Definition: Strong desire especially for money
Sentence: The cupidity man tricked me out of my money or the cupidity of businessman

5.   Word: Extant         موجودہ
Definition: still existing in spite of being very old
Sentence: My grandfather’s extant watch he give to father is in my personal drawer

Definition: Extremely happy
Sentence: Our school basketball team was jubilant when they succeeded in final game and got the trophy

Definition: allow to have
Sentence: My Supervisor grant me to bring my cell phone on site

Definition: to force someone to do something
Sentence: Our teachers compel us to finish our assignment

Definition: someone who is diligent works hard
Sentence: Diligent students always finish their work on time

Definition: Happening or arriving late
Sentence: The project was a belated it had not been a success.

Definition: Easy to control or deal with
Sentence: The sat test was tractable then I expected

14. Word: Abhor
Definition: Hate
Sentence: Usually teachers abhor students when they don’t finish their work

15. Word: Vex    
Definition: To make someone feel annoyed or worried
Sentence: I was so vexed to see him stand up with her
